Welcome to the 2017/2018 VSB Robotics Competition – Drag Race 2
The object of the game is to race against another robot.
Each robot team consists of a robot and one human driver per match. There are no limits as to the number of human drivers per robot team, but each driver can only drive one designated robot per event.
Drag Race 2 is played on a ‘16 feet long’ robotics table, each track is 9 inches wide.
There are 3 options to play Drag Race:
Option 1 – 2 Robots speeding down the track with the first to finish wins the match.
Option 2 – 2 Robots speeding down the track pushing a 222ml pop can with the first to finish wins the match. The pop can must be touching the table ‘at all times’.
Option 3 – 2 Robots speeding down the track pulling a 222ml pop can with the first to finish wins the match. The pop can must be touching the table ‘at all times’.
All drivers must stay within the designated ‘driver zone’ at all times during the match play.
Any game object(s) that has left the field during the match will not be returned to the field during the match and will not be counted at the end of the match.
